  • August 31st, 2006:

    Discuss sending out info on publishing and what our project is about to contributors and to public

  • September 9th, 2006:

    Meeting with publishers to change the following dates: September 14th will not be as scheduled. Publishers have discussed putting up a review section for poets whose poetry has been selected. The review section will include what the publishers discussed about the poems in the selection process.Click here or on Reviews from the Main Menu and find the publishers’ comments for your poem!
    Fliers have already been made for cover artists. certification of originality and review forms have been made. Copyright notification form has been completed. Acceptance letters have been prepared. Click here to view copyright notification form.

  • September 10th, 2006:

    Discuss the review(s) for Lorrie Salvetti’s poems.

  • September 12th, 2006:

    Publishers will be promoting their book to a freelance writing class at San Joaquin Delta College. Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm in Locke 203.

  • September 14th, 2006:

    (Previous plans were to send emails requesting cover artists and make fliers looking for cover artists. (Though we have a cover we are not sure we want to settle on this particular cover yet.)) Septermber 14th, 2006: New plans: Discuss sponsorship for the newsletter (was postponed).


  • September 16th, 2006:

    Send out fliers to Manzanita’s event in Murphy’s at Ironstone Vineyards.

  • September 17th, 2006:

    Editing for layout, determine how many poems we have currently, find page count, put bios in separate document along with photographs and contact information, organize contributor’s list, greet new copy editor, Lance Hudson, email contributors on follow-ups, set the font and size, page setups and margins, post updates on website, make phone calls, read new submissions, send them to copy editor, Lance Hudson, for review.

    Important Note: The new font size is set at 11 point instead of 12, with 8 point spaces for approximately 41 lines per page. The closing date on the Calling All Poets And Artists notification has been changed from January 4th to January 7th, 2007.



  • September 20th, 2006:

    Sent out rejection letters, emails to contributors requesting revisions, sent out emails to the Editor, Lance Hudson, that he needs to edit, set scheduled meetings for contributors, insert headers for acceptance letters, received revisions from Lance, made copies of letters, send Mintun the guidelines (post mail), made phone calls to arists. Selected photographs for the bios, and revised the website.

  • September 23rd, 2006:

    Meeting with the Copy Editor Lance Hudson, Editor-in-Chief Nikki Quismondo, and Chief Copy Inspector Donald Anderson. Discussed sponsorship, grants, and proposals. Edited website, signed all post mail documents, reviewed poetry from contributors. Discussed the Copy Editor’s preferences, chose a format for the margins of the book, discussed details of the back and front covers, font size, color, design. Discussed ideas about fundraising. Made copies, prepared, signed, and mailed acceptance letters. Sent emails out to contributors, set standard critique practices.

  • September 24th, 2006:

    Sent emails out to contributors to request bios and pics, sent emails out to contributors from the editor regarding revisions, send an email to Lance Hudson. Paste mailing addresses into temporary files. Added reviews to the website. Type in new sumbissions and bio into the Works documents.

  • September 28th, 2006:

    (Previous plans were to Discuss a Deadline. Closing date has been set to January 7th 2007.) September 28th, 2006: New plans: Distribute Fliers

  • October 26th, 2006:

    (Previous plans were to Discuss Headcount of authors/artists, but were postponed to a later date.) organize and make files for documents with clearing rights and copyright notices.

  • November 16th-26th, 2006:

    Holiday break happy Thanksgiving!

  • November 27th, 2006:

    (previous plans: begin editing and revisions of all poetry.) activities did: organiaze submission, make file folders for each poet, take head count of current authors (head count for pending artists is 27 so far), make file folders for new submissions, check emails, create review list, create editing list, prioritize dates for: reviewing for submissions, editing, layout, artwork & design, meeting with coeditors, meeting with authors, meeting for going over financial aspects for production costs, date for going over Wayne Robinson’s submissions, created list for authors ready for publication, Nikki and Donald coeditors discussed advertisement for cover artists and promotion, sent out guidelines to interested artists

  • November 28th, 2006:

    Send out new submissions to Lance Hudson copy editor, type in new submissions, send out response emails to new clients, request bios and photos from new authors, call Morgan K. about clearing rights and copy notification, Call Charley S. about art work for the book, call Sergio N. for address and artwork verification... send out emails to authors who requested info. plan schedule for month of December, review new submissions, discuss and make appropriate selections.

  • December 1st, 2006:

    Begin Layout.....big day!

  • December 4th, 2006:

    Design a Layout for the Book with the material we have

  • December 15th-30th, 2006:

    ---Winter Break---

  • January 1-6th, 2007:

    Break--Happy New Years!

  • January 7th, 2007:

    Closing date for submissions. Deadline for all material must be in!

  • January 9th, 2007:

    Find cover artist(s)

  • March 3, 2007, 6:00PM:

    Meeting for contributors with the editors.

  • April 6, 2007, 9:00PM:

    Cover design ready for print. Rest of book almost complete, under final revisions.
  • April 16, 2007:

    Submit book manuscript in pdf form to reviewers.

  • April 2007:

    First Tentative Printing Release Date


  • June - July 2007:

    Newer Tentative Printing Release/Events Date

  • Released: Same week as Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. For sale now by order at bookstores.
